What do you do at Wandle?
The main part of my role is to support the business in providing information and clarification on terms and conditions held in a Head Lease and to ensure details for contact at Managing Agents is up to date and available on the system for all to see and use. I also look at contract management and build relationships with new managing agents so that all parties can work together to give the best service to our customers in their buildings.

Why did you join Wandle?
I had recently left my previous employer after 25+ years and was a little disillusioned with housing – but when I saw this role it reminded me of when I first started in housing and being a smaller organisation, they had a better understanding of their customers and what they wanted to achieve.

What do you enjoy most about working here?
The friendly, helpful and supportive staff that all work together to provide great customer service to the residents. Everyone welcomes you into Wandle and nothing is too much trouble if you need help with your work or just simply to settle into your new role. I instantly felt like I had come home to Housing as I knew it.

How has Wandle supported your development?
I came to Wandle as an interim staff member, before being extended into project work and then eventually becoming full time permanent in a new role. Wandle recognises people skills and attributes and will support their development to avoid losing good staff.

What would you say to someone thinking about applying?
Just do it – it is a great place to work, friendly, focussed and determined in continuous improvement in all areas to ensure residents are at the heart of what we do. The best part – there are no offices and no one sits in an ivory tower, even the CEO sits on a pod amongst the staff – the executive team leads by example – we are all one team.

Fun Fact
I have become more social since joining – I have made great friends and attended various social events – something I always swerved in previous jobs.
